Whey is a by-product of milk processing, a material of excellent usability. It had been known, and used for medical and cosmetic purposes, by the ancient Greeks and Romans.
Whey contains ca. 80% of the valuable minerals of milk: magnesium, zinc, iron, manganese, calcium, phosphorus, copper, potassium; but also the not less valuable vitamins B1, B2, B6 nad B12, as well as folic and pantothenic acid; in concentrated form.

The consumption of whey has a number of advantages, such as:
- supporting the function of the liver, the biliary tract and the digestive system
- promoting the restoration of the normal intestinal flora, alleviating both obstipation and diarrhea.

Whey contains valuable proteins, minerals, trace elements, and lactic acid bacteria which strengthen our intestinal flora. Thanks to its positive metabolic effects, its detoxicating action and excellent external applicability, whey has been regarded as a natural remedy since the 19th century.
Whey is generated as a by-product of cheesemaking by the action of rennet or acids. It consists of water (95%), lactose, lactic acid, milk proteins, vitamin, minerals and trace elements. It can excellently quench thirst, also during exercise, because its components and low fat content present no burden for the organism but provides it with a number of vitamins and minerals.
The positive effects of whey can be exploited also in special diets. It contains minimal fat, but a wealth of important nutrients like vitamins and minerals. It is also noteworthy that whey is an absolute “taste bomb” in a diet.
